Introduction

Life in school is like being in a big gambling table. Nothing is for certain. Everything you do carries some risk, not unlike putting down a bet on a gambling table and hoping you will get paid. You may lose or you may win. The secret is to continually learn from all the wins and losses. This will ensure you, in time to become a great gambler in school and in life. You will become a gambler, but one who wins. You will win frequently and you will win big. Your loss will be minimized and less frequent.

Yes, life is a casino whether you like it or not. Tomorrow is not just another day at school. It is you holding your cards, with eyes sweeping and scanning your opponents. If you are skilled in your moves, you may be able to anticipate their folly and snap them when they are least aware. You put down your cards, knowing well that you have just one point above them. If they take your bait, they will put their cards down and soon find out how they are just marginally defeated. You win!

Of course in real life your card is your talents and time. Your brain is your brain. And your opponents are the school, other students, the teachers, the assignments and exams. In other word, your opponent is the whole EDUCATION SYSTEM itself.

In real life, the only person who matter is you. If you win the game, you live. If you loose the game, you die (or feel like dying). The EDUCATION SYSTEM is not for you to worry. You have to face it, the system can never be beaten. The only thing you got to do is taking advantage, so that you get paid for the bet you have put on the table.

This gambling is perfectly legal to all of us, regardless of races and religions.

See how I gamble in my school life and win!

  1. Wow Rizin, didn't know you started a blog! Well it's not only thereupatic but inspiration to many people..every blog is, at least the one I once wrote still carries many blessings to many parents looking for answers.
As for me I gambled my boy going to Std 1 in a Kebangsaan school, and still playing that gambling game...while he is in Std 2. For me my objective is simple, as long as he is happy going to school, he still goes to school like the rest despite his weaknesses and differences. He may not be good academically because of his disability. What's important is able to learn how to mingle with other people, picking up good and bad behaviours and becoming like one of us. There is always two sides in a coin. I suffered too with abundance stress fr the class teacher who kept on insisted that he is to be put in a Special Unit (sekolah khas). Yes I am aware that he will fall back academically as the years go by. It doesn't matter. Even if he failed flat for 6 years, be it....at least he is given a chance to go to school, that counts. There are always other opportunities and doors opened. And yes there is always hope to believe that one day and maybe a miracle might happen, that he might just turn out to be alright. May not be perfect but if he can take care of himself, lead a normal life on his own independantly, that will just be my winning jack pot and dream come true. So likewise life is a gamble and the same as me putting him in a mainstream with the rest of the children instead of secluding him in a special school. Taking the risk, I have no regrets and infact he has grown to be better boy. I am so glad the headmaster gave him a chance and over the past 1 year, indeed is a miracle for him to be in school. So mum, did the right thing. Worse scenario, there is always homeschooling or even skill work :D It's not the end of the world. Cheers....Tricia
